What is Solar Power System?

Converting Light Energy into Electrical Energy is Called Solar Power System.

Types of Solar System: There are 3 Types

1.OFF GRID Solar System

2.On grid Solar System

3.Hybrid Solar System

1. Off Grid Solar System

The System Designed with Solar Power and Battery Storage System is Called Off Grid Solar System.

On Grid Solar System

The System Designed with Solar Power and Commercial /Generator Power is Called on Grid Solar System.

Hybrid Solar System

The System Designed with Solar Power and both of Battery Storage and Commercial/Generator power is called Hybrid Solar System.

1.Power Source: Solar and Battery Storage.

2.Power Backup: Battery Storage Power Used when Sun Light is not present.

Major Significance of Solar System:

1.Fuel and Electricity Cost Reduced: Solar System Requires no fuels. So the Electricity or fuel cost can be reduced using solar system.

2.Environment Friendly: Solar System is a Green Energy System. So it has No Carbon Emission.

3.Longevity higher: Solar Panels are Long Lasting and has Long Efficiency Life.

4.CAPEx overcome within short time : Solar System has no Operating Cost like other Energy Generating system. So, The Capital Expenditure Can be overcome within very short time.

5.Cost of production minimized: Since the Energy and fuel Cost reduced using solar system the production cost of goods also minimized.

6.Less Maintenance Costs: Solar System Required Less Maintenance. So, Maintenance Costs are Very Few.

Challenges Of Solar System:

1.Foggy/Cloudy Weather: As the solar Energy produce from sun light so the efficiency reduced when the sky is foggy or cloudy.

2.Initial Cost Higher: Initial Cost of Solar System are higher. 1 MW On Grid Solar System Required about 7.5 Crore Taka.

3.Larger Space Required: Solar System Required a Larger amount of space where sun lights fall without any bindings from the south face side. A 1 MW Solar System Required about 100,000(One Lac) Square feet space.

Foggy/Cloudy Weather Challenges overcoming

1.In foggy/or cloudy weather solar system doesn’t totally off but efficiency become down.

2.In Winter season load shedding become reducing.

3.To fully overcome this foggy/cloudy weather challenges we must ensure storage Battery or generator or both as the autonomy/backup source.

So, Hybrid solar system is recommended for the Critical Industrial Production lines to overcome these challenges.

Minimizing Challenges of Higher Initial Cost:

1.Calculate the daily Fuel Cost: A 1 MW Generator consumes 100 Litters of Fuel per hour. A solar System Required no Fuel.

2.Calculate The Operating Cost:  1MW Generator’s Operator per day salary is 800Tk. Solar System Required no operating Cost.

3.Calculate Maintenance Cost: 1 MW Generator required 1.5 Lac taka quarterly Maintenance Cost. Solar System Required no maintenance cost.

4.Calculate the production Loss: When Electricity fails all of the production lines become shut down. Operators are sitting idle. Sometimes product rejection happens due to power switching. Sometimes machine malfunctioned due to power switching. Duly Order Fulfillment are becoming interrupted.

2.5 Lac Taka per day Extra Cost and Loss Happens due to power shut down in an industry where required 1 MW Generator.

7.3 crore Taka in 1 year. 1 MW Ongrid Solar System Costs 7.5 Crore Taka. It will mini minimize 50% Costs within 1 year. 2 years required to overcome full costs.

With Hybrid Solar System Cost can be overcome within 1(one) Year.
